Build Recruitment are working with a leading global provider of Facility Services to source a permanent Quantity Surveyor based in London. Up to £55k + £5k car allowance.

Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Quantity Surveyor will be part of the dedicated Projects Team within the Government based Contracts.

As their Quantity Surveyor you will work alongside the Projects Team to ensure that the client can deliver against their financial plan while operating a safe, secure and legal site. You will provide Commercial Leadership and support for the Project Managers as well as dealing with managing payments, handling Compensation Events and cost reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Work within the PMO function of the team to manage all cost and procurement activities from initial enquiry from the Client through to sub-contract works being undertaken and completed on site.

Assist in establishing a Client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will work.
Develop and maintain an effective relationship with the Government Contract Stakeholders.
Attend client meetings, have good knowledge of project delivery activities, encourage active improvements & provide feedback to Clients.
Communicate effectively with colleagues within the Business Unit and so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required.

Professional and personal competencies/qualifications:

Requires specialist knowledge of Construction Industry and/or aligned sector and high degree of initiative, creativity, and wide scope for discretion.
3 years' experience working in the FM/Project Delivery (Or similar)
Experience of undertaking the QS role using NEC3.

This is a client facing role, so it is expected that applicants will possess excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and collaborative communication style as well as having experience of managing and appointing sub-contractors.
