- Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and building systems
- Act as the site HVAP, carrying out HV switching operations, isolations, and high-risk electrical activities
- Prepare and execute switching schedules, SOPs, and EOPs
- Respond to BMS alarms, faults, and critical incidents, restoring services efficiently and safely
- Maintain uptime, resilience, and operational continuity across mission-critical infrastructure
- Support operational escalation and emergency response procedures
- Manage and administer the Permit to Work (PTW) system
- Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
- Maintain water systems in accordance with L8 (Legionella) regulations
- Supervise contractors and specialist vendors to ensure safe and compliant delivery of works
- Ensure all engineering activities are completed in line with statutory and site compliance standards
- Support incident management during faults, outages, and emergency scenarios
- Maintain availability of critical spares, tools, and materials
- Accurately record maintenance activities using CAFM systems such as REALM
- Produce clear technical reports, shift logs, and engineering documentation
- Build effective working relationships with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development
- Maintain high operational, engineering, and safety standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, compliance, and operational excellence
- Current High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) status
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Emergency First Aid at Work certification
- Proven experience within:
- Data centres
- Critical environments
- Mission-critical facilities
- High-availability infrastructure
- Strong understanding of:
- HV/LV electrical systems
- Switching procedures and isolations
- Fault diagnosis and incident response
- Critical power infrastructure
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation within engineering environments
- Ability to work effectively under pressure within live operational environments
- PASMA and/or IPAF certifications
- Manual Handling training
- Experience with BMS, PMS, and fire systems
- Experience using CAFM systems such as REALM
- Strong understanding of critical infrastructure operations and uptime requirements
- Experience within data centre or financial services environments
- Technically strong with excellent fault-finding capability
- Safety-focused with exceptional attention to detail
- Calm and decisive during critical incidents or outages
- Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a shift team
- Professional with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Physically capable of accessing plant areas and using access equipment where required
- Work within a cutting-edge data centre and critical facilities environment
- Play a key role in maintaining business-critical infrastructure and operational resilience
