Based Horizons (Reading, Berkshire)

Salary £40,000 FTE pa

We are seeking a new manager to join our busy team where your contribution will be highly valued. Reporting to the Head of Facilities, you will ensure the University’s buildings and working environment remain compliant, functional, efficient, and safe at all times. Working with the wider team to deliver excellent customer service, you will take the lead on building services matters as well as playing an integral part in the University’s ambitious drive to net zero as part of its sustainability ambitions.

Using your acquired FM knowledge and skills from within any type of environment, you will uphold building compliance and energy-related requirements, manage PPM and contracts, and look after policies and procedures. You will be expected to keep up to date with changes in legislation and compliance matters and analyse relevant data to produce reports.

At University of the Built Environment we expect employees to demonstrate our values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Support. Student satisfaction and success are our main drivers, and our people consistently report high levels of employee engagement.

We are a long-standing and leading provider of supported online education with a long-term ambition to be the world’s most sustainable university. At The London School of Architecture, our students study onsite. Staff wellbeing and work-life balance are a priority for us, with flexible working arrangements and a generous holiday allowance amongst some of our key employee benefits.
