Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically capable Data Centre Supervisor to join our growing Data Centre Solutions team in London.
This is a key leadership role within a mission-critical environment, combining hands-on technical responsibility with people management. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-performance settings and takes pride in delivering critical infrastructure to the highest standards.
Role Summary
As a Data Centre Supervisor, you will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all data centre assets, including electrical, mechanical, and specialist systems. You will act as a key operational lead on site, overseeing maintenance delivery, contractor performance, compliance, and team coordination while driving technical excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong safety culture in a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations & Maintenance
Operate, inspect, and maintain mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, including high-voltage isolations and switching operations
Supervise Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring work is delivered safely and on schedule
Coordinate repairs and corrective works on critical plant and equipment alongside internal engineering teams and subcontractors
Participate in engineering Quality Assurance (QA) processes to verify the standard and completion of maintenance activities
Compliance, Documentation & Change Management
Prepare, review, and implement SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, Permits to Work (PTW), Risk Assessments, and client change control documentation
Ensure subcontractors comply with site procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards
Review and sign off subcontractor work, escalating performance or compliance issues as needed
Maintain accurate technical reports, asset records, and maintenance documentation, including tracking critical spares and stock usage
Leadership & Team Management
Oversee the day-to-day performance of shift and day engineering teams, including holiday and sickness cover coordination
Mentor and support technicians and apprentices, fostering a positive, safety-focused, high-performance team culture
Complete role-specific training in line with the Data Centre Solutions training matrix and encourage continuous professional development within the team
Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE)
Champion QHSE standards through hazard reporting, near-miss investigations, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives
Promote a proactive safety-first culture, ensuring all work complies with company and statutory requirements
Lead by example in maintaining safe systems of work and operational discipline across the site
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a data centre or other critical environment, or in a supervisory role within Facilities Management
HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship
18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
Strong knowledge of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems
Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively across technical teams, contractors, and stakeholders
Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability
Competent IT skills, including experience with CAFM or maintenance management systems and standard business software
Calm, decisive, and resilient under pressure, particularly during critical incidents or outages
Flexible approach to work, including training attendance and occasional overnight stays
Why Join Us?
Work within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation that values technical expertise, leadership, and continuous improvement
Take on genuine responsibility within a high-profile, mission-critical sector
Gain exposure to advanced infrastructure and career development opportunities
Join a professional, safety-focused team with clear long-term progression pathways
