The Opportunity
Our client, a global leader in data centre solutions, is seeking an experienced HV-authorised Shift Engineer to join their team in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a critical data centre environment, supporting high-profile banking and enterprise clients.
As part of a high-performing team, you will maintain mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance across all systems.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain HV electrical systems, UPS, generators, transformers, and switchgear
Manage single-phase and three-phase systems
Maintain VRV systems and other mechanical plant as required
Work safely and efficiently on a continental shift pattern (6 on / 4 off, days and nights)
Ensure all activities comply with site policies, health & safety regulations, and client standards
Support critical operations in a high-stakes data centre or banking environment
Candidate Requirements
HV Authorisation – essential
Proven experience in data centres or critical banking facilities
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical environments
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under high-pressure conditions
Flexible, reliable, and committed to operational excellence
