Salary: Up to £55k per annum + Overtime available
Hours/Shift: Days | Mon–Fri 08:00-17:00 / 09:00-18:00 + Additional O/T opportunities.
A leading Facilities Management provider is appointing an Electrical Supervisor/ Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of a large, high-end corporate building. This role suits an experienced engineer who combines strong electrical expertise with leadership capability and takes pride in running a site to a high standard.
The Role
The Electrical Bias Lead Engineer will be the technical authority on site, responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all electrical and associated building services. They will lead day-to-day engineering activity, coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, and act as the key point of contact for technical matters within the building.
This position requires a hands-on professional who can lead by example, make sound decisions under pressure, and maintain excellent standards in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for electrical systems across the building, including power, lighting, emergency systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Lead and support on-site engineers and subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered safely and to specification.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive faults with a structured, professional approach.
- Diagnose complex electrical issues and implement effective long-term solutions.
- Ensure statutory compliance, health & safety standards, and company procedures are met at all times.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with the client, facilities team, and management to ensure smooth daily operations and high service delivery.
- Support continuous improvement of site performance and reliability.

Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within corporate or commercial environments.
- Strong fault-finding skills and sound technical judgement.
- Working knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Ability to lead, organise workloads, and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Test & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a Lead Engineer or supervisory role.
- Experience using CAFM systems.
