Our client are a global property & real estate organisation, operating in both the residential and commercial space, who have a requirement at one of their long-held customer accounts in Central London. Close to Camden / Euston, and based across a mixed use estate comprising a mixture of multi-tenant offices, retail & restaurant space, residential and event areas. They now seek an Energy Manager to sit within the organisation's on-site property & engineering team. Main day-to-day duties within this role are energy analytics, working with the bureau service and energy management metering system and providing insights to commercial office occupiers on their energy use. Similarly key is in leading the net zero pathway in particular with regards to energy reduction measures, working in partnership with energy consultants developing an ISO 50001 Energy Management System.
Guideline salary for this position is up to £75,000, and also includes a healthy package which includes pension scheme, private healthcare and a discretionary annual bonus. The role will be based on-site, with occasional room to work from home - however for the most part, the firm deliver a steady presence on site for tenants & stakeholders.
Role Summary
With the use of the current data analytical and metering systems, monitor, analyse and interpretate the correct
functioning of plant and systems via the building management system, data analytical platforms, energy metering
systems or by other means.
Carry out checks of data analytical platforms and metering systems, ensuring the systems are running to the
required compliance standards and ensuring that all building plant is running at its optimum to keep energy
consumption to a minimum.
Organize and attend monthly and quarterly building & portfolio meetings with occupiers, service partners,
building/technical managers and client team with respect to energy performance and management.
Technical data review, analysis and reporting:
Tenant Engagement and reporting:
Prospective candidates will have a minimum of 5 x years of energy management experience, ideally having completed a degree or recognised graduate training scheme within energy & sustainability. Particular experience & working knowledge will include:
· Show experience in the delivery of energy reduction and associated sustainability and ESG targets.
· Knowledge of a variety of different schemes and environments, Retail, Commercial Residential & Mixed use
· Knowledge of Energy Centres and the interface with managed properties
· Experience of working with ESCO providers
· Have a full understanding of industry leading targets and experience of assisting key stakeholders with their net zero, sustainability and ESG targets.
· Understand of technical operations of the plant and how equipment operates
· A knowledge of Data Analytical Platforms
· Experience of setting up and mobilising new schemes
· Knowledge of managing budgets and compiling reports
· Ability to review all types of data and utilise to enable the best outcomes
· Working across teams including internal teams, clients and service providers
· Experience of ensuring that processes and guidelines are adhered to in line with the required standards
· Have experience of working on energy metering systems and have assisted in trouble shooting with meters and metering systems and devise repair strategies.

Role Summary

- To develop, implement and manage Environmental and Energy Conservation Programmes, (working with
- others where necessary) ensuring optimum usage of energy. To advise on potential problems or conflicts,
- improvements and possible savings. Analyse monitoring & targeting reports and investigate and action as
- necessary and interrogate trend analysis.
- Provide day-to-day energy and metering performance support and any required operational support to
- Property Managers, Engineering Managers and the wider property management teams and clients as
- required.
- To be fully aware and trial new technologies ensuring we remain at the forefront of industry developments
- in data analytical platforms, metering and all energy reducing systems and any associated technologies.
- To have a wide ranging knowledge of energy metering systems to assist in any trouble shooting with meters
- and metering systems and devise repair strategies.
- To be a focal point for all ESCO related matters, supporting in the integration of energy centre and asset
- level decarbonization strategies, monitoring Energy center performance, reliability of metering data and
- prepare regular client reports on performance.
Tenant Engagement and reporting:
- Lead the occupier engagement strategy to deliver energy efficiency in accordance with the asset level decarbonisation strategies for all managed office assets at the development. Act as the key liaison for energy efficiency utilising resource from the wider estate, client, and consultant teams
- To have a full understanding of sustainability ratings for the built environment and the relevant benchmarks associated with the delivery of net zero carbon operational performance.
- Provide quarterly reports on building performance against the energy performance benchmarks as outlined in the asset level strategies.
- Understand and assist the Estate and client teams to drive industry leading targets and assisting key stakeholders with their net zero, sustainability and ESG targets.
- To have proven leadership qualities and be able to work as a team or on your own.
