Job title: Electrical Engineer
Salary: Permanent - £40,000-£45,000
Location: London
We have a very exciting role for an Electrical Engineer to work at a public sector in London. This Electrical Engineer position has excellent advancement potential, a great team to work in, and excellent resources. Purpose of the Electrical Engineer role:
- Deliver PPM relating primarily to Electrical Equipment in-line with agreed programmes / SLAs to meet Client and Statutory Compliance.
- Complete Reactive Works identified through PPM work undertaken when requested.
- Provide Service Support as part of a team providing quality service delivery, with a requirement to be part of the out of hour’s emergency call out team.
- Assist with quotations and small project works.
Key Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer:
- Follow method statements, risk assessments, safety legislation, and health and safety protocols.
- Deliver excellent service by completing PPM tasks and reactive works within Service Level Agreements to meet KPIs.
- Maintain premises proactively to high standards.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients and representatives through quality customer service.
- Update site documentation regularly for internal or external audits.
- Comply with Administration requirements.
- Fulfil statutory requirements and escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to meet all contractual obligations.
- Supervise sub-contractor works, ensuring H&S standards compliance. Issue PTW and perform isolation procedures, as necessary.
- Undertake required training and use systems correctly.
- Complete POWRA and other SHE documents when needed.
- Required to undertake Overtime where works cannot be performed during Normal Working Hours
- Demonstrate appropriate Health & Safety knowledge to ensure safe delivery of all work.
Qualifications:
- Practical experience carrying out PPM's and undertaking routine Electrical Repairs and Maintenance with basic fault-finding diagnostic experience.
- Level 2 or 3 Diploma OR equivalent formal Electrician qualification.
- Capable of working independently.
- Excellent customer service skills – very client facing.
- Safe system of Work Procedure – PTW; RAMS etc.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship.
