Job title: Mechanical (Plumber) Supervisor
Salary: Permanent- £43,000
Location: Winchester, Hampshire
A Mechanical Supervisor is needed for a very exciting position at a large public sector in Winchester. Key Activities for the Mechanical Supervisor role:
- Supervise/manage all reactive and maintenance tasks carried out in the commercial building contract, including KPI monitoring and CAFM input
- Ensure work is carried out to the highest standards and all statutory legislation is complied with
- Plan work for trade staff/contract labour. Supervise trade staff/contract/labour/contractors to ensure work is completed to a defined standard, within agreed time and budget
- Report any non-conformance practices or faulty equipment; ensure all Health and Safety, COSHH and permit to work systems are adhered to at all times.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years’ experience, ideally within an FM environment and/ or secure environment, military, health or similar sectors.
- Experienced plumber, qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing & Heating) and/ or NVQ Lvl 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating, water or building service systems.
- Familiar with, and ability to, work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
A rounded knowledge of risk and compliance and demonstrable planning & project management skills.
