Account Manager – Building Services

£70,000 - £80,000 + Car Allowance + 20% bonus

 

We are thrilled to offer an opportunity for an Account Manager in the building services/ facilities management sector working for a high-end FTSE 100 company. The Account Manager will take on full responsibility for a contract with a P&L approximating £3m and oversee all on-site operational engineering management. This is a chance for the Account Manager to collaborate with a client who is not only well-established in the building services/ facilities management domain but also involved in one of their most engaging contracts.

 

The Role:

 

The Account Manager oversees the contract's operational delivery, encompassing both technical and administrative tasks. They ensure proper resources, including labour and infrastructure, are in place for optimal functioning of building services. Leading all staff, the Account Manager prioritizes objectives like Health & Safety, maintenance, and customer service, while managing the contract's financial aspects and P&L. As a primary contact for operational issues, they address concerns methodically, keep the client informed, and direct operational resources as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-        leadership and that contractual commitments are met and exceeded.

-        Ensuring business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the contract.

-        Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions are met.

-        Ensure contracts are staffed by fully competent teams.

-        Working with other Operational managers to ensure a collaborative development.

-        Development of contract financial plans for revenue and profit delivery.

-        Ensuring a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts. 

-        Provision of leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support, where required to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment, and recognition/reward.

-        Delivering effective business communication throughout.

-        Provide a learning environment, and appropriate training and development planning. Ensure basic training needs are delivered, employees are fully competent to undertake their roles, and can reach their full potential.

-        Produce regular client and internal reports.

 

Person Specification:

-        Accountability to the functional heads, as appropriate.

-        Accountable day-to-day to the relevant client contacts.

-        Financial responsibility for the delivery of Plan commitments for the contract.

-        Previous experience of FM CAFM Systems desirable

-        P&L experience

-        Advanced Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office or equivalent.

-        A Technical knowledge and understanding.

-        Critical building experience – desired.

-        Relevant H&S Qualification – NEBOSH General Certificates’, British Safety Council etc.

-        Ability to lead from the front in times of critical events on site.

-        Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to priorities workloads

-        Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm clear thinking and be able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraint.

-        Diligent and pro-active.

-        Ability to prioritise and act on own initiative.
