Build Recruitment are working with a London based NHS Trust to appoint an Electrical Engineering Manager for a 6 month contract £30 - £40 per hour umbrella PAYE.
Reporting to the Head of Estates, the Electrical Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading on all electrical engineering aspects of the estates and minor work functions as well as being responsible for managing the delivery of a compliant high quality customer focused, safe, efficient and value for money operational Estates which include maintenance and minor works as directed by the Head of Estates Services.
Areas of Responsibility will include but not limited to:
LV Power, Distribution and Switchgear / Generators / Portable Appliances / Fire Alarm Systems / Lifts / Lightning Protection / IPS and UPS Systems / Lighting including Emergency Lighting / Associated Ancillary Systems as well as Planned and Reactive Maintenance.
Authorised Persons (AP) Duties: If you are not already an Approved Person, the client will provide the necessary training for the following areas:
- LV Electrical
- Medical Gas Systems
- Lifts
The Electrical Engineering Manager will also provide technical advice and operational support on all aspects of the Electrical Engineering Services to the Trust, Estates Management and other stakeholders as well as providing technical information and support to specialist contractors and mentor the in-house workshop team where required.
Working collaboratively with other departments, the Electrical Engineering Manager will also provide technical and operational support to the Trust Capital Project Team. Review design drawings in relation to electrical services for all capital projects to ensure the designs are fit for purpose and maintainable.
About you:
It is expected that applicants will have:
- HNC/HND (or relevant experience) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (electrical bias).
- Detailed Knowledge of Statutory and Mandatory compliance standards
- Working knowledge of maintenance support systems e.g., CAFM, BMS
