Coordinator & Operations Manager – Stadium/Arena
Location: Midlands
Reporting to: Head of Operations
Salary: £35,000 plus benefits
Experience: stadium sports, events hall, concert hall, arena and exhibitions centre
To support the operational team in delivering the best customer experience for visitors.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- To develop, implement and maintain best operating procedures in conjunction with the Head of Operations and Safety Officer
- Prepare all relevant documentation in preparation for the event - including the brief and circulate to relevant departments
- Key liaison for broadcast and media for all events, in terms of technical and logistical liaison
- Liaising with Partnership departments to ensure activation areas are allocated on match days
- Support the Head of Operations with the operational liaison Match Days / Events ensuring that the venue is ready
- Review and implement operational procedures along with the Safety Officer to improve client and customer experiences across all types of events
- To support the Head of Operations both operationally and administratively
- Improved coordination with other departments onsite in delivery of events/match days and have a better oversite on what is happening within the building
- Support the Head of Operations and Safety Officer to ensure the company’s health and safety policy is implemented consistently across all areas
Key skills:
- Possess outstanding communication and liaison skills and able to forge strong professional working relationships with people
- Exceptional organisational skills, able to work on multiple projects and tasks at once
- Be able to work well under pressure and in a busy and fast-pace environment
- Comfortable in working to their own initiative and provide solutions to problems
- Outstanding communication skills both oral and written
- Enthusiastic and reliable with a positive attitude
- Able to work independently as well as alongside other departments
- Smart and well presented
- Dynamic and pro-active in developing solutions and sharing ideas
Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience of operational experience.
- Previous operational knowledge of managing a large, multi-purpose venue (essential)
- Ideally have experience of stadium sports events, concert delivery and exhibitions but all three are not essential.
- Experience of work with essential stadium/arena legisation e.g., safety certificate
- Knowledge of how to execute operational plans as part of a team
- Project management experience (desirable)
- Hold a IOSH Qualification (essential)
- Hold a NEBOSH Qualification (desirable)
