The Company:
We are looking for a mobile multiskilled maintenance engineer to work for a great SME maintenance provider in the Cardiff area. The successful candidate will be working for a privately owned nationwide supplier of maintenance services. They serve corporate, public sector and managing agent clients all over the country with sites from Aberdeen to Cornwall and Kent. Their clients rely on them to manage offices, commercial properties, retail sites, schools, universities, hospitals, hotels, laboratories, luxury residential units and historic listed buildings.
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical building services, particularly on pumps/motors and HVAC units in a commercial environment.
The Role:
Working on a mobile basis across Cardiff and the surrounding areas, the client will rely on you to undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the help desk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met
To provide call out response for the client as required.
To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out, including completing required documents and paperwork.
To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management and FM help desk as necessary.
To assist the site team, when required, with additional duties which you are competent to complete such as preparing meeting rooms, delivering beverages to meeting rooms, general basic plumbing and all other duties required by Management to ensure the smooth running of the site.
Provide care and maintenance of Client site as defined by Contracts Manager
To maintain a high degree of customer service for all tasks undertaken
Ad hoc duties as requested by site facilities operations management team
Skills & Qualifications:
Formal trade qualifications (electrical or mechanical)
17th/18th Edition required
2391 Test and Inspection is desirable
Proven experience within a Commercial FM environment
Experience of working in a client-facing setting would be highly desirable
The package:
Salary: £33,000 - £34,000
Annual and monthly bonuses
Callout rota - 1 in 10
Van & Fuel Card Provided
