The successful candidate will have a proven track record working on estates compliance across a critical and complex environment and have an excellent ability to drive performance in meeting compliance regulations.

 

The post holder will assist the Head of Estates throughout the whole range of Estate functions with specific responsibility for engineering statutory compliance, capital maintenance management software, PPMs, testing of plant & equipment (e.g. autoclaves) and buildings and engineering services. The post holder will provide the Head of Estates with professional & technical engineering and compliance advice and information as required.

 

Utilising the PLANET computerised maintenance management software and database to ensure the highest levels of service resilience and statutory compliance are met. Participate in the out-of-hours on-call service and undertake Authorising Person (AP) or Responsible Person (RP) responsibilities for at least three of the following as per operationally required: LV/HV/Medical gas/Ventilation/Decon/Pressure systems/Fire/ Water safety.

You will be responsible for four Estate Officers and ensure that their understanding and work completed for statutory compliance is up to standard. You will support the day-to-day work required to meet deadlines on maintenance services and statutory obligations.

In conjunction with the Head of Estates aid the development of statutory engineering compliance issues in Estates Business Plans, outlining, monitoring and reporting on targets that achieve the Trust’s statutory obligations. You will also cascade information on compliance legislation to team members, as necessary and attend User Group Meetings with senior representatives throughout the Trust, as a means of developing and evaluating the quality of services provided and received.

You will be required to represent the Trust at external events involving Estates engineering compliance related issues and develop engineering statutory compliance systems and ensure that performance monitoring and quality information are available.

 

You will have an engineering background (electrical or mechanical) and have worked in a compliance estates focused role for a significant amount of time. You will need to be able to operate within a busy and thriving engineering team whilst ensuring the requirements for compliance are met.

You may be required to participate in a split day working pattern Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, 11am-7:30pm. Total weekly working hours are 37.5.
