- Maintain and fault-find on systems such as pumps, valves, pipework, heat exchangers, and pressurised systems
- Support the operation of energy centre equipment and ensure systems run efficiently
- Monitor plant performance and identify potential issues before failure
- Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise disruption to service
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety and statutory compliance
- Maintain accurate shift logs, reports, and maintenance records
- Work collaboratively with electrical engineers and site teams
The organisation is looking for a hands-on, dependable Mechanical Engineer who is comfortable working in a critical environment and able to perform under pressure.
Essential:
- Mechanical NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification)
- Proven experience working with mechanical plant in a commercial, industrial, or critical environment
- Strong understanding of building services and mechanical systems
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Experience working within a shift pattern
- A proactive and team-focused approach
- Experience working within an energy centre or similar plant environment
- Knowledge of steam, LTHW/HTHW systems, or district heating
- Familiarity with BMS systems
