Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and technically capable Data Centre Supervisor to join our growing Data Centre Solutions team in London.

Role Summary As a Data Centre Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all data centre assets, including electrical, mechanical, and specialist systems.
You will act as a key operational lead on site, overseeing maintenance delivery, contractor performance, compliance, and team coordination, while driving technical excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong safety culture within a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities Technical Operations & Maintenance
- Operate, inspect, and maintain mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems
- Carry out high-voltage isolations and switching operations
- Supervise Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring safe and timely delivery
- Coordinate repairs and corrective works with internal engineering teams and subcontractors
- Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) processes to verify maintenance standards and completion
- Prepare, review, and implement SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, Permits to Work (PTW), Risk Assessments, and change control documentation
- Ensure subcontractors adhere to site procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards
- Review and sign off contractor works, escalating issues where necessary
- Maintain accurate technical reports, asset records, and maintenance documentation
- Monitor and track critical spares and stock usage
- Oversee the day-to-day performance of shift and day engineering teams
- Coordinate holiday and sickness cover to ensure operational continuity
- Mentor and support technicians and apprentices, fostering a high-performance, safety-focused culture
- Complete role-specific training aligned with the training matrix and promote ongoing professional development
- Champion QHSE standards through hazard reporting, near-miss investigations, and toolbox talks
- Promote a proactive, safety-first culture across all site activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements
- Lead by example in maintaining safe systems of work and operational discipline
- Proven experience within a data centre, critical environment, or supervisory role in Facilities Management
- HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- Strong knowledge of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability
- Competent IT skills, including CAFM or maintenance management systems and standard business software
- Calm, decisive, and resilient under pressure, particularly during critical incidents
- Flexible approach to work, including training attendance and occasional overnight stays
