Shift Engineer – Luxury London Apartments
We are seeking an experienced Shift Engineer to join our team at a prestigious luxury residential property in London. This is a unique opportunity to work in an ultra-luxury environment, maintaining and operating world-class building systems while delivering exceptional service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all statutory requirements are met and maintain up-to-date certificates in designated Building Logbooks.
Plant & Equipment Management: Take responsibility for defect repairs and the safe, efficient operation of all building plant, systems, and equipment, including boilers, pumps, chillers, AHUs, fans, electrical distribution, pipework, ductwork, and garage plant.
Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to residents and colleagues, responding promptly to requests and providing updates on work status.
Task & System Management:
Use Building Link to manage reactive helpdesk requests efficiently.
Learn and utilize the CAFM system to receive and complete tasks in line with service level agreements.
Provide feedback on software platforms, maintenance tasks, asset information, and energy efficiency initiatives to the Technical Services Manager.
BMS Monitoring: Monitor the Building Management System (BMS) for alarms, incorrect operation, scheduling issues, and set points, responding appropriately.
Emergency & Fire Procedures: Carry communication equipment, respond promptly to incidents, and follow fire alarm procedures. Ensure sprinkler systems and emergency generators operate as required, isolating systems under the guidance of the Duty Manager or London Fire Brigade.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering role with a suitable electrical or mechanical qualification.
Previous experience in a 5-star ultra-luxury environment is desirable.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
