Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations
Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works to contractual KPIs and SFG20 standards
Diagnose, repair, and maintain air conditioning and commercial refrigeration systems
Take full ownership of tasks from call-out to completion, ensuring accurate documentation
Technical & Compliance
Diagnose system faults using appropriate tools and produce clear technical reports
Maintain F-Gas records, site logbooks, and ensure documentation is uploaded to the CAFM system
Ensure all works comply with legislation, company procedures, and health & safety standards
Client & Team Engagement
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients
Collaborate effectively with engineering colleagues and wider teams to achieve service objectives
Provide a professional, customer-focused service at all times
Efficiency & Improvement
Manage materials and spares efficiently, highlighting shortages or improvement opportunities
Identify risks and hazards proactively, maintaining a safe working environment
Contribute ideas to improve processes, efficiency, and service delivery
Flexibility
Participate in overtime and additional works as required to meet operational demands or urgent maintenance needs
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years’ experience as an AC/Refrigeration Engineer
Relevant qualifications, including NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 (6187 or equivalent)
F-Gas Handling & Management (City & Guilds 2079) certification
Cat 02 certification (or equivalent)
Skills & Competencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience using CAFM systems, ideally via handheld devices
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn and develop professionally
