We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support large-scale construction projects in Denmark. This is a site-based role providing hands-on HSEQ support to project teams, ensuring high standards of health, safety, environmental, quality, and wellbeing performance.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with site teams, influencing safe behaviours, and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of HSEQ systems, procedures, and standards on site
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and reviews to monitor compliance
- Assist in preparing risk assessments, method statements, environmental and wellbeing plans
- Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Advise and support project teams and subcontractors on HSEQ matters
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site training
- Collect, analyse, and report HSEQ performance data
- Promote a positive health and safety culture through site engagement
- Support tender and pre-construction processes with HSEQ input
- Maintain awareness of legislation, standards, and best practice
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience in construction HSEQ within a project or site environment
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, quality, and wellbeing requirements
- Ability to advise, influence, and challenge operational teams and subcontractors
- Strong communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing priorities in a dynamic environment
Qualifications
- Degree or professional qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality, or a related discipline
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience in risk assessment, auditing, incident investigation, and compliance monitoring
