Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Air Conditioning Foot Mobile Supervisor to lead and support a team of engineers across a portfolio of commercial office sites in Central London. This is a key supervisory role responsible for the reliable operation of critical building services, delivering PPM, reactive maintenance, and breakdown support across a variety of air conditioning and ventilation systems.
The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise across chillers, CRAC units, VRV/VRF systems, split systems, FCUs, and AHUs, with the ability to diagnose faults using BMS graphics and alarms. This role plays a vital part in ensuring plant reliability, client satisfaction, and full regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise across chillers, CRAC units, VRV/VRF systems, split systems, FCUs, and AHUs, with the ability to diagnose faults using BMS graphics and alarms. This role plays a vital part in ensuring plant reliability, client satisfaction, and full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Technical & Operational
- Lead, supervise, and support a mobile team of AC engineers across multiple sites
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs within agreed timeframes
- Respond to breakdowns and reactive callouts efficiently and professionally
- Perform detailed fault diagnosis and implement effective remedial actions
- Complete PPMs in line with asset registers and maintenance schedules
- Maintain accurate site logbooks, service records, and F-Gas documentation
- Ensure all tools, test equipment, and specialist meters are certified and recorded
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Complete dynamic risk assessments and enforce safe systems of work
- Review and adhere to RAMS prior to undertaking any works
- Submit accurate reports, including near-miss reports and risk assessments
- Assist management with quotations by assessing scope, labour, and materials
- Build strong working relationships with clients, occupiers, and subcontractors
- Support engineers in meeting KPIs and SLAs across the contract
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and service excellence
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota when required
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to team members
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 (Level 3 preferred) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- City & Guilds 2079 Category 1 (F-Gas)
- Good standard of general education, with strong English and Maths skills
- Formal Electrical or Mechanical training
- Experience working with BMS systems
- Strong hands-on experience maintaining and fault-finding AC systems including chillers, CRAC units, DX systems, splits, VRV/VRFs, FCUs, and AHUs
- Background working in commercial, corporate, or critical environments (e.g. data centres)
- Solid understanding of health & safety best practices
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and BMS interfaces
- Proven capability to lead, motivate, and manage a mobile engineering team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, professional, and decisive under pressure
- Strong customer focus with a proactive service-led mindset
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling (up to 20kg)
- Comfortable working at height and using vertical access equipment
