Data Centre Supervisor Location: London
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically astute Data Centre Supervisor to join our successful and fast-growing Data Centre Solutions team in London. This is a pivotal leadership role within a mission-critical environment, offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of data centre operations while influencing safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
If you thrive in high-performance environments, enjoy leading people, and take pride in running critical infrastructure to the highest standards, this role offers both challenge and progression.

The Role As Data Centre Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all data centre assets. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with strong supervisory leadership, acting as a trusted point of contact for site operations, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

With responsibility across electrical, mechanical, and data centre–specific systems, you will help maintain a resilient 24/7 operation while driving best practice, continuous improvement, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain all mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, including high-voltage isolations and switching operations.
  • Supervise planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring works are completed safely, compliantly, and to programme.
  • Prepare, review, and implement SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, permits to work (PTW), risk assessments, and client change control documentation.
  • Ensure full subcontractor compliance with site procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations.
  • Review, sign off, and audit subcontractor works, escalating quality or performance concerns to the Data Centre Operations Manager as required.
  • Produce accurate technical reports, asset records, and maintenance documentation, including tracking of critical spares and stock usage.
  • Coordinate repairs and corrective works on critical plant and equipment in collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and the Engineering / Technical Services Manager (ESM/TSM).
  • Participate in engineering Quality Assurance (QA) processes to verify the standard and completeness of completed works.
  • Champion Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) standards through hazard reporting, near-miss investigations, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support, mentor, and develop technicians and apprentices, fostering a positive, safety-focused, and high-performance team culture.
  • Oversee day-to-day performance of shift and day teams, including coordination of holiday and sickness cover.
  • Complete role-specific training in line with the DCS training matrix and actively support continuous professional development.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a data centre or other critical environment, or within a supervisory role in Facilities Management (FM).
  • HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
  • Proactive, detail-driven, and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Competent IT skills, including experience with maintenance management systems and standard business software.
  • Calm, decisive, and resilient under pressure, particularly during critical incidents.
  • Flexible approach to work, including attendance at on-site and off-site training (with overnight stays where required).
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.
Why Join Us? You’ll be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation that values expertise, leadership, and continuous improvement. This role offers genuine responsibility, exposure to critical infrastructure, and clear opportunities for professional growth within a high-profile sector.
