The Role: Business Unit Manager

Location: Kent / South East
Reports to: Managing Director

Sector: Facilities management

Salary: Negotiable (DoE)

I am delighted to be working with this growing client in The Facilities Management sector.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Unit Manager to lead the delivery, growth, and performance of services ensuring they align with the company’s core values and are well-placed to grow.

You will be tasked with ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and client satisfaction and there will be close collaboration across the wider business to raise awareness of the company’s capabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to impact and influence the growth of a company with exceptional values.

The Role

You will provide strong leadership, working closely with the Senior Management Team to shape strategy, drive efficiencies, and promote our company values. You will oversee operations, financial management, client relationships, and team leadership, while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Equality standards.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead strategic direction, operations, and business development of the unit.
  • Ensure service lines are fully integrated and aligned
  • Drive revenue, margin, and cost optimisation while maintaining compliance.
  • Oversee staff management, recruitment, training and KPIs to embed company culture.
  • Promote Business Unit growth through client relationships, networking, and new opportunities.
  • Lead on audits, renewals, insurance, accreditations, and digital system adoption.

About You


  • Proven leadership experience within Facilities Management or similar business.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with a track record of delivering results.
  • Skilled in managing teams, projects, and client relationships.
  • Excellent knowledge of compliance, systems, and operational best practice.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
