The Role: Compliance Manager
Location: London

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 – depending on experience and qualification

I am delighted to be working with this gorgeous and growing food-led brand to find them a dynamic and proactive Compliance Manager who will fall in love with the business and make this role their own.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee all aspects of the group’s compliance, auditing, and training programs. In this critical role, you will work closely with senior operational leaders to ensure that all sites consistently meet and uphold the highest standards in food safety, health & safety, customer service, and legal compliance. You will also support new restaurant openings by embedding a strong culture of safety and compliance throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework covering food safety, health & safety, employment law, data protection, licensing, and industry standards.
  • Conduct detailed internal audits, risk assessments, and inspections, ensuring adherence and prompt resolution of non-compliance issues.
  • Develop, deliver, and update engaging compliance training programs for all staff levels, using a blend of e-learning and in-person formats.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, reporting serious breaches to senior management as required.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and coordinate regulatory inspections across multiple sites.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing compliance data, identifying trends, and recommending system or process enhancements.
  • Oversee health, safety, and incident management, including risk assessments, fire safety plans, accident logs, and appropriate safety signage.
  • Support new site openings by managing all compliance requirements, including pre-opening checks and certifications.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience


  • Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in compliance within QSR, restaurant, or hospitality environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, allergen management, fire safety, GDPR, COSHH, and waste management compliance.
  • Confident and engaging trainer with excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrates strong personal values aligned with integrity, continuous learning, and a commitment to safety culture.


  • Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering (CIEH, Highfield, or equivalent).
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, or IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum.
  • Level 3 or 4 HACCP qualification.
  • Certified First Aid at Work and Fire Safety training.
  • Allergen Management and COSHH training (often included in Level 4 Food Safety).
  • CIEH membership is desirable but not essential.
