Our client are a globally operating commercial Real Estate organisation, who work for their customers delivering best-in-class facilities management and engineering solutions for their customers commercial and residential property portfolios. Due to strong performance and award of further properties, a new role has been created for an experienced engineering services or technical manager to join their technical team based from their Central London. Candidates must be fully qualified in an engineering disciple (mechanical or electrical), with at least five years experience within an engineering/technical management role, or alternatively a technically qualified contract/account manager. Along with core engineering certificates, additional training such as IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH, current or previous HV / LV AP status, ACOP L8, etc will all be beneficial, as well as any engineering memberships.
Some of the duties involved will include:
• Lead Hard Services Management across locations (budgets, schedules, procurement, quality & risk, statutory compliance and governance)
• Develop and implement consistent maintenance management practices across sites. Lead service partners and teams in driving performance and best practice to ensure exceptional service delivery
• Provide technical support for client’s leased space as required
• Lead sourcing in the area of regional contracts for technical products or services
• Accountable for the Engineering Audit program for the UK client account

• Conduct risk assessments and follow safety protocols, keeping up to date with latest legislation and trends
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineering/technical manager to join one of the leaders in the commercial real estate management in the UK, working directly for the managing agent. While managing agent experience is preferred, our customer are open to those working on the Facilities Maintenance / Service Provider side interested in a move towards being the client and the added benefits, prestige and job security which come with that.
Outside of strong technical expertise within electrical, mechanical and general HVAC systems, the role will be outward facing – liaising with developers, property and tenants. As much as this engineering bias, a client-facing and personable approach is key in fostering relations and day-to-day interaction with various stakeholders.
With a number of high-profile properties under management and a growing reputation within the London & UK market, this is a fantastic time to join with career development through training and promotion all on the table.
