Painter and Decorator – Central London

Location: Central London (Foot Mobile Role)
Job Type: Full-time
Industry: Maintenance & Construction
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
Qualifications: City & Guilds or equivalent
Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence preferred (not essential)

Salary: £35k - £37k 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and professional Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic maintenance and construction team in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to work on high-end residential properties, delivering work to the highest standard. You’ll be part of a supportive team, with opportunities to expand your skillset and assist other trades.

Key Responsibilities


  • Carry out all types of painting and decorating works, both interior and exterior
  • Prepare surfaces using appropriate methods and materials
  • Select and apply a wide range of finishes, including paint, varnish, and wallpaper
  • Install carpet tiles and stair nosings as required
  • Support and assist other trades, contributing to multi-skilled site teams
  • Procure necessary materials and equipment for jobs
  • Use a mobile app to complete job sheets and documentation
  • Work within high-end residential environments, maintaining cleanliness, discretion, and attention to detail at all times
  • Ensure all work is completed to an impeccable standard, aligned with client expectations

Required Skills & Experience


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the building and maintenance industry
  • Recognised City and Guilds qualifications or equivalent
  • Experience working in luxury or high-end residential settings
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices
  • Proven track record in commercial or residential maintenance work
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly, including overtime or out-of-hours work if required
  • Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential)
