Role Overview:
They are currently offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Shift Engineer to join their Engineering Team in this five-star deluxe residential property. Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working within company policies, procedures, and the Engineering standards manual, the Shift Engineer is responsible for maintaining and operating all plant, machinery, fixtures, fittings, and building fabrics. The goal is to achieve optimum resident comfort and operational efficiency while minimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements for the building, keeping all certificates up to date and filed within the designated Building Logbooks.
Take responsibility for effective defect repair and the safe, efficient operation of the building, plant, and equipment.
Provide exceptional customer service to residents and colleagues.
Use Building Link as a tool to efficiently manage reactive help desk requests and provide timely feedback on activities.
Utilize the CAFM system to receive task sheets and work requests, completing tasks efficiently and in accordance with the agreed specifications and service level agreements.
Provide feedback to the TSM on software platforms, suggesting improvements for H&S, plant and equipment status, maintenance tasks, and energy efficiency initiatives.
Maintain and operate building systems, including boilers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, fans, electrical distribution, pipework, ductwork, and garage plant, according to established guidelines.
Monitor the Building Management System (BMS) for alarms, incorrect operations, time scheduling, set points, etc., and respond appropriately.
Carry the required communication equipment, promptly respond to calls, and report back with the status of repairs.
Follow designated procedures in the event of a fire alarm, ensuring the sprinkler system and Emergency Generator are operational, and isolate systems as directed by the duty manager or London Fire Brigade.
Ideal Candidate:
5+ years of experience as an Engineer with relevant electrical or mechanical qualifications.
Experience in a 5* ultra-luxury environment is desirable.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
