Position Overview:
The Mechanical Technician will be pivotal in delivering top-tier mechanical and building services engineering maintenance to our client's properties. This role emphasizes delivering a premier building services maintenance experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections, both preventative and corrective maintenance, on mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems based on codes, manuals, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Assess and calibrate systems using precision instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Organize work assignments, ensuring efficient execution with the appropriate materials and techniques.
- Uphold building codes, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Prioritize tasks, understanding the urgency and ensuring timely completion.
- Monitor contractor activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and issuing necessary permits.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to maintenance and repair activities.
- Proactively identify areas for service improvement and innovation.
- Mechanical qualifications, C&G Parts 1 & 2.
- Building Services-related certification.
- ACOP L8 training for water system maintenance.
- Extensive experience in mechanical building services maintenance, including fault finding, installation, and inspection/testing.
- Prior experience in both reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
- Familiarity with FM or building services in commercial settings.
- Strong adherence to Health & Safety protocols, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Training and proficiency in managing High-Risk Mechanical Works.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess situations and devise effective solutions.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Business acumen with organizational awareness.
- Collaborative spirit and resilience in challenging situations.
- Accountable and takes initiative.
- Proficient mechanical understanding.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with computerized Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems.
- Self-driven with a team-oriented approach.
