Wakefield 
£38k-£42k - 38.75hr week

300North are looking to recruit an Estimator to utilise their strong Building Fabric knowledge to price small works schemes up to £250k, ideal candidates will be currently working in an Estimating capacity who can hit the ground running.

Duties:
•    Develop and ensure the accuracy of prices provided to the Client, on a time and material basis.
•    Provide a cost effective estimating service for works required to public buildings providing cost estimates to service users, both internal and external
•    Take responsibility for the financial accountability of building and specialist work, monitoring of budgets and work programmes
•    Attend meetings and prepare reports to take an active role in the commissioning service, working independently to offer innovative and appropriate solutions and outcomes to service users
•    Undertake detailed surveys, dilapidation schedules and condition reports
•    Advise on a wide range of complex building disciplines for the planned and reactive and minor works services
•    Develop and specify new work, remedial work and any other work requested by the Client to enable in-house or external contractors to deliver the best solutions
•    Ensure that all priced work complies with statutory legislation and regulations
•    Ensure specified works make best use of resources and consider carbon reduction commitments

Qualifications & Required Experience:
 HNC/D in relevant subject and/or time served estimating experience.
 Ability to work unsupervised and as a team member
 Ability to understand and carry out verbal/written instructions
 Ability to liaise and work with clients and members of the public
 Ability to travel between the office and work locations – full clean driving is license essential
 A good understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
 A confident communicator with good customer service skills
 Ability to manage and prioritise workload 
 Good IT skills and knowledge of basic Microsoft packages
