One of the largest commercial property and real estate organisations operating across Europe, United States and Globally, have a requirement for a Technical Services Manager for a high profile tower in the city of London. This firm both own the property and self-deliver a total FM solution comprising M&E, security, cleaning, etc within the property. Due to an internal move, they seek an experienced Technical Services Manager to join their existing team helping to coordinate planned, reactive and critical services maintenance to HVAC systems across this iconic building. Working on a Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 basis, the guideline salary for this position is circa £80-85,000 salary, along with a generous package including annual bonus, private healthcare, pension, training, etc.

Candidates must be fully qualified in an engineering discipline (mechanical or electrical), ideally having completed a full apprenticeship. Combined with this, an essential requirement is for a minimum of five years experience as a Technical Services / Engineering Manager within the commercial environment, ideally within the corporate / critical sector. Holding AP status in either Electrical/Mechanical systems will be important, and further training such as NEBOSH, IOSH Managing Safely, or membership status with an engineering body would be beneficial. Day to day duties will include:

• Part of senior technical team managing issues across the building
• Manage agreed KPI and SLA’s.
• Responsible for managing the company’s H&S and environmental performance on each site.
• Plan and implement building shutdowns and basic client project works.
• Responsible for managing the company’s quality procedures on each site.
• Recruitment of any new staff required on sites.
• Responsible for the technical development of all staff, which will include annual appraisals.
• Management of client relationships on a daily basis.
• Management of all reports.
• Manage any additional business opportunities that will deliver client satisfaction and increase contract sales revenue.
• Responsible for the permit systems

This building comprises multiple tenants operating within the professional services space - legal, financial, etc. As such good communication skills are vital, in order to liaise with various stakeholders and deliver a "best-in-class" service.

This is a rare opportunity to work client-direct, and with that comes both the security and better remuneration and benefits which that entail. With an excellent location served by both London Bridge, Cannon Street and Liverpool Street stations, and in a building less than 5 years old, this will suit an ambitious and well qualified technical services/engineering manager seeking to further their career with a market leader within the property and real estate built environment.
