Technical Service Manager
RAF Cranwell
Up to £45,000 + benefits
Monday to Friday - 8 to 4.30
This is a key role to deliver this contract. The contract cannot be delivered without a suitable number of Service Managers to deliver Planned Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance, Billable works and Asset Management to a high standard, in compliance with key KPIs and safety.
Role Responsibilities of a Technical Service Manager-
The Technical Service Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of
- Planned Maintenance (using MOD SFG 20)
- Reactive Maintenance
- Billable Works (additional works)
- Assurance checks
- Production of Rough Orders of Cost
- Supporting the Built Estate Manager ( Site Manager) of the establishment in their duties.
- Be part of a Rota to take calls out of hours, to direct supply chain to emergencies.

- Mitigate against Assurance Corrective Actions are not raised against our activities.
As the Technical Services Manager you will also-
- Be a champion the Zero Harm policy,
- Meet all KPI’s,
- Keep the estate statutory compliant,
- Fully comply with assurance processes,
- Champion excellent in delivery and first-time fix,
- Complete Billable Works on programme to a high standard of customer satisfaction, safely and in compliance with the assurance policy.
- Management of the Planned Maintenance and Response Maintenance via Maximo.
What You Need To Do The Job as a Technical Services Manager-
- Preferably hold an HNC or better in a suitable Building or Mechanical/Electrical subject
- To have lived knowledge of the working with planned maintenance, response maintenance and project management of small projects.
- To be open to take on additional responsibilities such as; Confirmed Space Authorised Person, Working at Height Authorised Person, Temporary Works Responsible Person, Legionella Responsible Person and Asbestos Responsible Person.
- To be part of an on-call rota for out of hours emergency response (this usually involves a phone call from the Help Desk and that information is then passed to the appropriate on-call engineer for them to attend.)
- Advantageous to be a member of a suitable professional body.
- Advantageous to have a qualification in asset management such as a Certificate or Diploma from the Institute of Asset Management.
- Driving licence
Please note, the Technical Services role will require you to pass SC Clearance.
