Job title: M&E Shift Engineer
Salary: Temp to Perm - £42,000
Location: London
A M&E Shift Engineer is needed for a very exciting position at a large public sector in London. Strong resources, a great team to work in and brilliant benefits with a very reliable and good company are all features of this exciting M&E Shift Engineer role.
Key Responsibilities of this M&E Shift Engineer role:
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor the operation of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, lighting, elevators, and power distribution.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose issues with M&E systems and equipment, taking prompt corrective actions to resolve problems efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements. This documentation helps track equipment lifespan and performance.
- Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance work adheres to safety regulations and building codes. Keep up-to-date with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a recognised electrical/mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical/mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
- Electrical trade qualifications and 18th Edition certification
- Must have a thorough understanding of engineering building services installation and maintenance techniques.
- Good knowledge of M&E testing, fault finding, maintenance, refurbishment and install.
