Build Recruitment are working with an Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) client to make the key appointment of Head Chef: Chigwell, Essex - £70k - £80k + benefits.
This a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef to support an ultra-high-net-worth family in their private family residence. The family are looking to appoint a talented, experienced, and organised Chef to ensure the smooth running of their household. Prior experience within a UHNW residence is preferred, especially in planning meals of high nutritional content for a family with three teenage children.
The family is looking for a creative, meticulous Chef with an exceptional eye for detail. You will be professional, loyal, self-motivated and an excellent team player. Cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the family daily, you will present the family with fresh, nutritious, and delicious meals and be able to cater to the family's dietary requirements and preferences. The family enjoy a large variety of cuisines and especially enjoys Asian, Indian, and Mediterranean.
- Experience managing your kitchen as a Head Chef.
- Ability to deliver fresh food to high standards.
- Ability to cope well under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent personality and drive.
- Proficient in constructing menus with new or existing culinary creations to ensure all servings' variety and quality.
- Up-to-date knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- A creative and innovative approach to cooking, with a passion for new trends and flavours.
You will be organised and calm, have excellent time management skills, and maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. Cooking for three children, you should also be comfortable preparing and cooking meals for up to 10 guests when the whole family are in residence and wish to eat together during the school holidays and weekends.
Working Hours:
Term-time:
- Monday to Friday: 2pm - 10pm
- Saturday: 10am - 4pm
School Holidays:
- Monday to Friday: 10am - 10pm (break in between as it is a split shift)
- Saturday: 10am - 4pm
During the holidays, there may be fewer shifts due to the family being away, however, flexibility is necessary, especially when the whole family is in residence.
Up-to-date knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations. A creative and innovative approach to cooking, with a passion for new trends and flavours.
