Build Recruitment are working with an education provider in the southwest of England to source an Assistant Building Surveyor. £35k + excellent benefits
Due to a significant piece of funding and an increase in workload, my client has identified the need for additional staff and as such, is looking to recruit an Assistant Building Surveyor.
Reporting to the Senior Building Surveyor, the Assistant Building Surveyor will provide technical assistance including planning and administrating small to medium size (repairs and capital) projects across their portfolio of circa 50 schools.
The Assistant Building Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out measured surveys, assist in building surveys, produce planning and working drawings in CAD format, prepare schedules and specifications and obtain competitive tenders for small and medium size projects which are usually between £10k - £200k.
About you:
- It is expected that applicants will:
- Have a degree in Building Surveying.
- Have an understanding of AutoCAD.
- Have experience of managing small projects via JCT Minor Works.
- Ability to deal with planning applications and advise on property legislation and building regulations.
- Have a full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle (mileage and expenses will be paid).
