Account Director - London
£65,000 - £85,000 plus, bonus, new business commission, car allowance, pension, 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays.
Description:
We are recruiting for an Account Director to be responsible and accountable for ensuring the delivery of Strategic Cleaning related services to London and Milton Keynes based contracts across the companies wide portfolio of well known clients.
Overview:
The Account Director is responsible and accountable for overseeing various Soft Services contract predominantly cleaning and all compliance and audits, budgets, staff development and other responsibilities together with an increased P&L responsibility for the assigned contracts. Including life cycle, continuous improvement, revenue growth together with the day-to-day management of people, processes, Quality and Health and Safety.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Co-ordinates all operational resource to deliver operational effectiveness
- Initial Mobilisation of new contracts
- Proactively and professionally manages client relationships, delivering superior customer satisfaction at all levels
- Ensures compliance with all company programmes, processes, and procedures
- Ensures that both the company and client Health and Safety policies are clearly understood and implemented throughout the team
- Identifies opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness
People Management
- Supports the recruitment, retention, motivation and development of the team and improves morale
- Manages performance of the team against clear objectives and expectations
Strategic Management
- Has gravitas and takes control of situations, processes and operation at all levels within the client organisation and within company.
- Can develop strong relationships with key strategic contacts both internally and externally and can deal effectively with them
- Understands the strategic direction and deploys agreed actions to align contract performance with key company deliverables
- Works in alignment with the Managing Director and other Account Directors
Business Development / Financial Management
- Takes charge of P&L and commercial performance of the contract
- Contributes to budget planning and reviews financial performance against budget
- Supports in the process of identifying opportunities, deploying strategies and implementing practical solutions to best deliver on viable business opportunities
- Deploys the strategic account development plan, monitoring and reviewing its effectiveness against plan

Qualifications
- Possesses extensive and proven senior management / Director level management experience in a UK wide strategic role
- Has previously held P & L accountability for large and complex accounts
- Has strong customer focus
- Possesses proven people management experience
- Has excellent strategic management and commercial management skills
- Has strong operational and performance management focus
