We are currently recruiting for a Hard Services Manager to support the Contracts Manager on a schools contract in Enfield. Covering some long-term sickness, the interim appointment is set at 3 months currently but may well be extended.
As the role is interim, it will be too manage and keep and eye on contract rather than to drive change. The main function of the role is to oversee the KPI's, managing planned preventative maintenance making sure it's done in a timely manner and in line with SLA's. Scheduling remedials work on the schools will also be a part of the role.
Duties of the role include:
- Working alongside the Contracts Manager to deliver an excellent FM service to the schools
- Managing specialist contractors and booking to jobs as required
- Liaise and work alongside with the Project Manager to ensure the safe delivery of Variation, Life Cycle and small works within budget and associated deadlines.
- Explore opportunities to develop contract variation works and review of Life Cycle plans.
- Technical and Contractual reporting always ensuring accuracy.
- Ensuring the Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme is delivered accordingly and within the contractual specification.
- Be proactive in identifying cost-saving and profit-making opportunities within the bounds of the contract specification.
- Support the Senior Management Team to monitor and review actual costs against budget and take timely action to rectify.
The Applicant:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Computer literate - able to work well with CAFM systems and run reports
- Experience of working in commercial maintenance FM
- Hard services knowledge to understand and schedule the correct contractors
- Organisation skills to effectively manage all the KPI's
