We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to manage a mobile electrical team in and around the West Norfolk and Suffolk area. Managing a team of 3 electricians and 3 administrators, you will oversee the running of the electrical maintenance across the region working with different contracts in retail, education, recycling and also TV production.
The role is largely hands off but as the team is still growing you will need to help with hands-on electrical work as and when required.
The role is Monday-Friday 40 hours a week, you will also be on the managerial call out rota (1 in 6/7). Overtime is available if you would like to work it - optional - at x1.5 and x2
The Role:
Duties of the role include:
- Deputizing for the Maintenance Manager
- Supervision of the engineering team providing both 1st line management and technical advice
- Allocating work to the engineering team - PPM's, Reactives and Lifecycle works
- Managing KPI's for the electrician team
- Keeping to budgets
- Managing and booking subcontractors
- Creating quotes and site surveys
- Completing hands on electrical work as the team grows.
This role is great for ambitious individuals as training is provided with a direct promotional line to Maintenance Manager for the region.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- City and Guilds or NVQ in Electrical Engineering
- Previous experience managing engineers
- Experience in the FM industry
- Ambitious individual looking to work as part of a forward thinking team
- Good people and communication skills
- Flexible attitude and team player
