Facilities Maintenance Engineer
SL6 - Maidenhead
£38,000-£40,000 per annum
Monday - Friday, 08:00-17:00
Due to an internal promotion, we have a fantastic opportunity available working on an office site for a high-end jewellery provider- our client is looking for an electrically biased static maintenance engineer to join the team of engineers on site. The successful candidate will need to be client facing and able to respond quickly to client requests and maintain the great relationship on site. This would be the ideal role for someone looking for that next step in their FM career and future progression!
The successful candidate will have a strong commercial background, be client facing and ideally qualified to NVQ/City & Guilds level 3 in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent. They will be expected to integrate into a team of engineers and have a flexible attitude towards work, as well as supporting the wider business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service
- Provide a multi-skilled maintenance engineer service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance
- Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met
- Carry out modifications and installations when required
- Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers
- Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard
- Liaise with client/management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum NVQ/City and Guilds level 3 qualification in relevant engineering maintenance
- 18th edition (desirable)
- Previous maintenance experience in a commercial environment
- Be flexible towards work & carry out duties that may not be specific to your trade
- Very well presented
- Client facing experience (desirable)
Benefits/Package:
- £38,000 - £40,000 per year
- 1 in 2 call out - extra £2600 per year in standby allowance
- 25 Days annual leave + Bank Holidays
