We are currently recruiting of a Maintenance Manager to be based on a large prestigious shopping center in central Stoke. Managing the site, you will be responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance on site, managing a team of 8 engineers with skills in mechanical, electrical and fabric work. You will be responsible for the coaching and management of the staff as well as the KPI's and service level agreements of the contract and budget. Client liaison is also a large part of the role, working closely with the on-site customer to deliver a first-class maintenance service to their site.

Duties of the role include:


  • Managing a team of 8 engineers - motivating, leading and upskilling them
  • Overseeing the KPI's on the contract, making sure SLA's are reached in a timely manner for all planned and reactive works
  • Managing project and small works on site as required
  • Working with regional engineering specialists and subcontractors on niche kit
  • Managing all compliance and health and safety on site in line with IOSH standards including organizing and running site audits
  • Working closely with the client-side Centre Manager to make sure services provided work seamlessly alongside the customer and end user
  • Building on an already strong relationship with the customer to encourage collaborative working

This role would suit someone who is a seasoned manager who would enjoy working on a static site with a stable team and positive customer with whom there is a great relationship, however it would also suit an up-and-coming manager or lead engineer who has some management experience and is looking to take the next step up.

Candidates:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:


  • Qualified Engineering background (mechanical or electrical)
  • IOSH or NEBOSH
  • Staff Management experience
  • Dynamic thinker to overcome problems
  • Excellent communication skills
