Techanical Maintenance Technicians – Facilities

Our client is looking for x2 Mechanical Maintenance Technicians (Facilities Maintenance) to carry out routine inspections and reactive maintenance in both clinical and non-clinical areas of the estate. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Ability to perform lone working and working as part of a team (with multiple trades) in both clinical and non-clinical areas of the estate.
- To manufacture, assemble, erect and install plant and equipment.
- To carry out repairs, maintain and efficiently run plant and equipment.
- To maintain hot and cold water systems.
- Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks including the taking of water temperatures/samples, testing of thermal mixing valve devices, inspection and servicing of water system components, heating systems, ventilation, completion of log sheets and maintenance records.
The suitable applicants will have completed a mechanical apprenticeship, qualified to Level 3, have experience working within planned and reactive maintenance within building maintenance and have excellent time management & communication skills.
Typical working hours would be Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm (37.5 hour per week).
Pay rate £17.50 p/hr
On call after qualifying period – standby rate £100 - £120 p/wk 1in4
Minimum 6 month contract with view to transfer permanent.
