M&E Project Manager - Up to £50,000 - North West
Mechanical & Electrical Project Delivery Team
Our client has an extensive experience in the Design, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Electrical and Mechanical Services in the healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, and retail sectors. Taking a keen interest in each project they can work with the consultant and architect at an early stage to offer a valued input into buildability and value engineering.
They have secured several contracts well into 2023 and we are looking for individuals who have a strong background in project installation works to support our growing M&E projects division.
The client is s a multi-faceted collection of like-minded businesses whose primary aim is to remove the speculation associated with development.
Currently looking for M&E Project Managers for upcoming Newcare Care Home schemes based in the Northwest.
Responsibilities
- Set up site in preparation for project including working with Admin team to produce Site folders - Day to day managing of Health & Safety including weekly toolbox talks
- Day to day running of site activities in line with latest target programme
- Develop & update M&E target programmes in line with Client target programme - Identify problems in target programmes and notify client site team of any issues
- Produce take offs for materials and obtaining costs for current projects aiming to better buy where applicable
- Managing drawing packs ensuring site team and supply chain have most up to date drawings
- Ensuring QA procedures are adhered to including producing sign of sheets and maintaining standards
- Labour Reviews/Forecasts - Attend Weekly M&E meetings to feedback to management on progress and highlight any issues
- Review drawing changes and prepare variation orders as required
- Review subcontractor monthly applications with commercial manager
- Produce progress reports for weekly client progress meetings and attend weekly client meetings
- Produce time sheets & overtime request forms for all staff
- PDRs and 121s for direct reports
- Ensure cost effective production in line with development budgets by ensuring that the work undertaken is in full accordance with the cost provision allocated and as confirmed in cost valuations
- Organise regular site production meetings and pre-plan and ensure efficient usage of all resources, including application of quality supervision and communication regime of labour, sub-contractors, plant, and materials
- Build in accordance with relevant standards, Codes of Practice, Building Regulations, and warranty requirements in force at the time
- Co-ordinate with other trades such as Ceilings & Partitions, Passive Fire and ensure fire compartmentations are not compromised / damaged
