We are currently recruiting for a Bid Writer to work as part of the business development team. Home based with some team collaboration out of the Leeds office, the Bid Writer will plan and deliver innovative bid solutions for a well-established FM business, supporting both hard and soft FM bid opportunities.

 

Working alongside the sales team, the bid writer will understand the client brief and customer drivers to create a bespoke bid which will include tailored operational solutions to the customer.

 

Working under the bid manager and alongside estimator and administrators, your role will be to act as subject manager expert in writing for the FM sector and put together high quality a graphically well-designed bid.

Duties of the role include:

 


  • Proactively support internal teams in planning and delivering fantastic bid solutions across all Soft & TFM opportunities.
  • You will develop strong relationships with the sales team, working closely to understand customer drivers, win themes and operational solutions.
  • You will engage and work with appropriate stakeholders, including nominated operational support, subject matter experts and graphic design to produce high quality bids
  • Work in an organised manner and able work across multiple bids simultaneously

 


  • Develop presentations to potential clients using your graphic design skills as well as utilising external graphic designers and printers.
  • Developing a written bid showing a creative and entrepreneurial approach
  • Developing and maintaining a central library of bid information and support material
  • Writing reports, responses and proposals with the support of the team and wider company support
  • Providing bid submission advice across a wide range of FM bidding activities.

The candidate will have the following skills and experience:

 


  • Worked in a similar role for more than 2 years
  • Experience and understanding of the FM sector
  • Proven ability to produce written documents that respond to customer brief
  • Attention to detail, ability to follow process for a compliant bid

 


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organised.
  • Ambition – someone who wants the business to do well and is passionate about winning work and growing the business
