Facilities Management Service Coordinator

Salary (University of Leeds grade 5 (£23,487 - £27,116)

Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service?  Are you looking for a challenging and varied role?  Do you want to be part of a team that makes a difference?

The University of Leeds is one of the top 100 universities in the world.  We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities.  Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.

We are looking for motivated and proactive individuals to join our new team as Facilities Management Service Coordinators. Focus will be on implementing and managing a new Computer Aided Facility Management System (CAFM) system called Planon.

Working as part of a team, the role is critical in enabling the digitalisation of maintenance work requests.  Through managing requirements and scheduling work to internal trade teams and external contractors, you will play a key part in ensuring that the University of Leeds Estate is maintained to a very high standard. You will be central to embedding the system and have a high impact through liaising with a range of customers, providing support to resolve user enquiries and problems in relation to Planon use, alongside the maintenance queries raised.

With experience of working in a busy customer service environment, you will be able to demonstrate your skills in planning and organisation combined with an ability to work at pace dealing with critical, time sensitive issues. You will bring a fresh, forward thinking, logical approach to the team and will be exceptionally well organised to manage the variety of tasks and demands.  Once established, the role will incorporate a flexible approach to working and adapt to the needs of the operation as required.

What we offer in return

  • 25 days holiday plus 15.5 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) – That’s over 40 days a year!

  • Final Salary pension – the University contributes 21.4% of salary

  • Health and Wellbeing: Discounted staff membership options at The Edge, our state-of-the-art Campus gym, with a pool, sauna, climbing wall, cycle circuit, and sports halls.
