Mechanical Fitter

3 months Temp to Perm

South Shields

£15.94 per hour inc holiday pay

37.5 hours per week ( 8am - 4pm)

My client is looking for a mechanical maintenance engineer to join their facilities management team of 20 to work on a healthcare contract on a temporary to permanent basis.

The Role

As a mechanical fitter, you will be joining a team of 20 staff to assist with the maintenance within a plant room and their estates departments.

Duties include:-


  • Servicing Steam Plant and boilers
  • Servicing air handling units
  • Servicing and maintenance of calorifiers
  • Servicing and maintenance of plate heat exchangers
  • Pipework
  • Initial Gas checks - FGAS an advantage
  • Working on pressure systems
  • Legionella awareness - servicing thermostats mix valves and recording temperatures.

Qualifications


  • HNC/ONC/C&G plumbing or mechanical engineering

The Person


  • You will be immediately available.
  • You may have experience of working within a hospital environment.
  • You will be required to have a DBS if you do not already have one.
