The role: Group Security Manager

Sector: Facilities Management – Security Management

Locations: Glasgow and Surrounding Areas

Salary: £35,000pa

Our client is a leading global service provider across Facilities Management, Security and Catering.

We are looking for an experienced Group Security Manager to join them on a key contract.

The Group security Managerwill join the team covering 6 sites across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fife and Dundee.

You will be responsible for the efficient and effective day to day management and supervision of the security team ensuring we provide a safe and secure environment. You'll provide leadership and clear direction to your team, ensuring they are motivated and engaged, and that they understand how their contribution impacts on the business. You will provide support across the sites when required, including the management of functions and team development.

To be truly successful in the role, you must be a SIA Security License holder, you will have experience managing or supervising a security team, you will have multi site experience, be self-motivated and enthusiastic.

You must have a full valid driving licence and car to work between the sites. You must be able to work flexible hours to ensure all security staff are seen across the various sites and shifts.

You will be subject to a Level 3 Police vetting

A massive bonus to this role is that it is a day time shift, you will be paid travel expenses, you have working from home days so you will have a great work life balance.

All About you:

  • Educated to Standard grade level, or equivalent
  • SIA Security License Holder
  • Good communicator
  • Experience with security technology and processes
  • Capable of using IT based systems proficiently
  • Previous experience of dealing directly with the public
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Competent in completing security risk assessments and writing detailed reports
  • Ability to be vetted to Level 3 Requirement
  • Multi-Site Management of people
  • To maintain legal compliance for operating self-delivery of security

All About the role:

  • To provide strong direction and leadership to the security team to enable the company to provide a professional integrated security solution
  • To manage daily the effective operation of the security service across multiple sites.
  • Supporting & maintaining contract retention through living the company values and by building key relationships with the relevant client stakeholders
  • Monitor the financial performance of all security contracts, and to conduct the necessary investigations and improvement plans in conjunction with the operational teams
  • To promote a zero-accident mindset in all activities and to promote safe ways of working
  • To make sure that all parts of the service portray the required brand and corporate image and messages

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring security compliance in accordance to the company model and client requirements
  • Managing the full security service delivery in accordance to the contract
  • Providing subject matter expertise to the client in relation to physical security
