£31,000 - £33,000 + Overtime + Call Out
One of the UK's leading Medium sizes maintenance companies are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team of engineers based in South Wales - our client can offer imminent progression opportunities as well as further training/qualifications.
The successful Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for all reactive and pre planned maintenance on site and will ideally have previous experience with pumps and motors as well as good knowledge of writing reports and dealing with paperwork.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service
- Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance
- Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met
- Carry out modifications and installations when required
- Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers
- Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard
- Liaise with client/management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum NVQ/City and Guilds level 2/3 qualification in relevant engineering maintenance (mechanical)
- Previous maintenance experience in a commercial environment
- Be flexible towards work & carry out duties that may not be specific to your trade
- Very well presented
- Client facing experience (desirable)
- Be able to partake in a call-out rota
