The Role: Property & Sustainability Co-ordinator
Sector: Property / FM
Location: West of London - Reading and Surrounding Areas
Our client is an ever-expanding group of individual inns and pubs that are looking to recruit a Property & Sustainability Co-ordinator. The company pride themselves on individuality and are a very progressive employer, sustainability is also key in all areas of their work.
Salary up to £28K plus mileage
Property & Sustainability Co-ordinator Role
• Act as Primary contact for all sustainability projects and work with Head of Property (HoP) to drive sustainability practices throughout the business
• Work with all departments to co-ordinate their Sustainability targets, track and report on progress
• Proactively manage our Zero to Landfill waste contract, working with the supplier to increase recycling and introduce initiatives to make sure our waste is having a minimal impact on the environment
• Work with the HoP to help manage our Energy Procurement team through a Group Procurement process for Electricity, Gas and Water, moving to 80% Green Energy as a target
Project Management & Design
• Work with our external design teams to manage procurement of Furniture and accessories
• Assist the HoP to plan, monitor and implement large and small scale refurbishment projects
• Maintain the project file for each major refurbishment or acquisition
• Assist in tendering or negotiating contracts with suppliers
General Duties
• Work with the Operations Managers and General Managers to plan Handyman Maintenance dates & co-ordinate their list of tasks
• Creation and management of Trackers for Premises, Music, TV, Wedding, and Waste Transfer licences
• Co-ordinating Staff Housing and ensuring all relevant paperwork and inventories are filed and tracked
• Manage the Maintenance email inbox and co-ordinate queries
• Monitor register of Freehold/Leasehold sites with break-clause/negotiation dates
• Maintain register of non-core estate (Staff Housing) along with costs and key negotiation dates
Finance, Maintenance and Health and Safety
• Dealing with all areas of budgets
• Managing maintenance works
• Assist Health & Safety Manager with statements and Fire risk repairs
Property & Sustainability Coordinator Key Skills
- A “People Person” who wants to get things done
- Previous experience and/Degree in Business Management/Property Management/Facilities Management essential/Contractor Helpdesk is desirable
- Excellent IT skills to include outlook/word/excel essential
- Building/Energy/Technical desirable
- Ambitious, keen to learn and get stuck into issues knowing they will always be supported
- They are a 24/7 hospitality business so you must be willing to travel and occasionally work unsociable hours.
