Business Development Manager
Monday - Friday, 8am / 5pm
Office based in Dartford
£50,000 + commission scheme + car allowance
Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team working closely with the Managing Director and Service Director - primarily developing their drainage and pumps department.
The successful Business Development Manager will ideally come from a technical M&E background, with experience selling into the Facilities Maintenance industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends and partnerships
- Generate leads and call prospective customers
- Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
- Think and work strategically as well as understand the needs of clients
- Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
- Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
- Attend meetings, conferences and events where appropriate
Qualifications & Skills:
- A degree in business development or business management (desirable)
- Technical M&E background (desirable)
- Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
- Ability to think strategically, analyse sales figures and write reports
- Able to work under your own initiative
- Project management and organisational skills
