FINANCE MANAGER – Germany

Type: Hospitality / Property / Real Estate background 

Location: Leipzig, Germany

Salary: €75,000 - €85,000 annual

Languages: English and German

The aim of the Finance Manager position is to work across all day-to-day finance matters related to the business, support the Managing Directors and play a crucial supporting role in the development of the company (a growing European group with expansion plans across new markets in Europe).

THE ROLE


  • Operational responsibility for all financial topics, in particular accounting, taxes and operational controlling for real estate management
  • Managing and developing a team of employees
  • Collaboration with multiple departments within the group structure
  • Work closely with the Executive team (including the Managing Director)
  • Support the creation of financial plans and budget planning
  • Be responsible for the entire preparation of the documents in accordance with HGB and IFRS (including balance sheet, liquidity planning, monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, etc.)
  • Ensure accuracy and punctuality of the reporting
  • Be the central point of contact for all the 3rd parties regarding to the finance.
  • Work closely with the larger structure to ensure growth, compliance (asset management, VP Investment Accounting)

WE’RE LOOKING FOR:


  • Have a degree in the finance and accounting
  • Must have minimum 5 years experience in a senior Finance position within a corporation or mid-scale organization.
  • Must have team management experience
  • Must have experience in finance and accounting for property/real estate industry or hotel industry.  
  • You have a strong systems knowledge (including Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ReLion), Excel, MS Office) and ability to build own processes
  • Experience in international matrix organization
  •  
  • You have an ability to manage tasks very efficiently
  • Quick comprehension and analytical thinking
  • Focus on process optimization and the desire to make a difference
  • Precise, you have an eye for details but are able to raise the bar and see the big picture
  • You are able to work in an autonomous and flexible environment with minimum supervision
  • Ability to stand your ground when challenged and get your point across while staying respectful of others opinion
  • A high degree of self-organization and commitment
  • Overall commercial acumen and strong people skills, sense of humor
  • You are fluent in German and English.
