Responsibilities:
- The role is accountable for the proactive management of all operational, financial, statutory and reputational risks to service delivery and effective management of financial and commercial targets, ensuring all margins are achieved within the parameters of agreed budgets. The review of self-delivered and subcontracted structures and delivery models to align with contract and IFM objectives and the review of the administration of Dublin operations to ensure ongoing contractual and statutory compliance is achieved and maintained.
- The Senior Facilities Manager will lead on the on-going development of people management and HR plans to include succession planning, labour organisation and learning and development planning along with all aspects of people management, including conflict, grievance and disciplinary in-line with company process and policy. They will provide inspirational role-model management and leadership at all levels and will work to create a culture of engagement and can-do attitude across the team to support an environment of continuous improvement and a health and safety culture. Relationship management that engages and influences across the client and IFM structure relevant to Dublin operations that supports IFM in the role of trusted advisor.
- The role is accountable for the management of the overarching post business plan and associated outputs utilising management information and targeting growth opportunities to build the pipeline of new works and IFM delivered projects to drive revenue and seek new revenue streams within the scope of the IFM contract. The plan will ensure complete adherence to client and company KPIs & SLAs, statutory and mandatory legislation including Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and all client and customers’ policies and procedures. The Senior FM will prepare business reports as determined for customers’ and client.
- There is a requirement to get a balance in the role of being hands-on and taking a step back to review and manage strategically. This balance may change and vary on a day to day basis depending on a number of factors such as for example workload, type of workload and deadlines. The expectation is that the post holder is out and about in the operation on a daily basis to achieve this balance.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent experience in similar role
- Membership of appropriate organisation desirable
- MBIFM, IOSH managing safely or NEBOSH cert
- Likely to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing Integrated Facilities Management (hard & soft services).
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, experienced in leading multi-disciplinary, multi-site operations and management teams.
- Significant experience of managing HR issues including disciplinary, grievance and staff consultation
- Sound understanding of NEC3 contracts
- Experience of developing business plans to deliver services that align to business needs whilst managing the risk profile.
- Ability to understand Profit or Loss accounts, forecasting and managing services in line with them
- Operational experience in the Government sector, particularly in contracts within Central Government, or with other large public-sector bodies
- SC or local in-Country equivalent.
- Highly IT literate in the MS Office suite
