Role Overview



My client is a well respected property group that offers a range of services to their national client base. They are now due to continued growth looking to add a Lettings Client Accountant to their Richmond office. As a business, they are very committed to developing their staff through professional qualifications and progressing them up within the group.



Main Duties and Responsibilities




  • Managing accounts administration for Lettings under the Lettings brand.

  • Carry out day to day tasks in accordance with the RICS Code of Practice

  • Ensuring a smooth completion of tasks for both Rent and Commercial Service Charges




    • Purchase Ledger

    • Cashier

    • Demands

    • Bank Reconciliations

    • Arrears Chasing

    • Any other ad hoc duties

    • Deposits


  • Deputise for the Head of Lettings Accounting in their absence



  • Attend Client Meetings

  • Conducting annual appraisals for the team

  • Prepare and complete monthly and quarterly client statements

  • Ensure all clients are paid their rental income in line with the management agreement.

  • Client accounting duties

    • Year-end process

    • Audit queries/draft accounts

    • Client reporting

    • Other ad hoc duties.

    • Raising Quarterly Management Fees

    • Setting up new Clients/Properties/Tenants on the system





  • Carrying out performance reviews

  • Organising holidays and training



Personal Requirements




  • Good Understanding of Lettings Property Management and current Legislation

  • Commercial understanding of the business operation

  • Well-developed interpersonal and oral communication skills

  • Good Excel and Word Skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Good numerical skills

  • Ability to work as a team player

  • Ability to prioritise word load and work under pressure

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Problem solving and dispute resolution

  • Managing a small team but not essential
